Abstrak
Employee performance is the result of work in terms of quality and quantity achieved by an employee in carrying out his duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. Companies must be able to create their employees to produce the expected performance. One from of maintaining good performance for employees is to establish a strategy by providing a balance between the expected contribution and what is provided within the company. This research aims to find out how the reward and punishment system is implemented on the performance of employees of the Medan LP3M Superior Polytechnic. This research is a case study with qualitative methods. The data used in this research is primary data collected through questionnaires. Therefore, reward and punishment are the main focus that companies must pay attention to. The results of this research show that performance reward play a very positive and significant role in employee performance. The application of reward at the Superior Polytechnic LP3M Medan is very good with results of 87%. Punishment for performance plays a very positive and significant role in employee performance. The implementasi of punishment at the Superior Polytechnic LP3M Medan is quite good with a result of 75%.
